Curriculum:

Lesson 1

By the end of this lesson you will be reading words in Hebrew containing 5 different consonants. You will also know 3 different pronouns. At the end of the lesson you will recognize the 3 different forms of the vowel ‘A’ and the form of the vowel ‘I’.

Lesson 2

By the end of this lesson you will be reading words in Hebrew containing 11 different consonants (6 additional to the 5 you learned in lesson #1). You will also know 2 new nouns, masculine and feminine.
At the end of the lesson you will recognize the 3 different forms of the vowel ‘E’.
By the end of this lesson you will be to read and translate into Hebrew a short conversation.

Lesson 3

By the end of this lesson you will be able to use two more pronouns.
At the end of the lesson you will recognize the 2 different forms of the vowel ‘O’ and will be able to read words with 4 more consonants.
You will be reading a short conversation.

Lesson 4

By the end of this lesson you will be reading a conversation containing verbs in the present tense. You will also become familiar with the plural form of nouns.

Lesson 5

You will be using the verb ‘want’ in the form of:
Pronoun + ‘want’ + noun -> I want ice-cream
At the end of this lesson you will be familiar with 4 additional consonants of the Hebrew language: s, ts, ‘e’, k and the last Nikud form of the sound U.
You will recognize the 4 forms of the 3rd person pronoun (he/she/they-masculine/they-feminine) and the form of the pronoun ‘we’.

Lesson 6

At the end of this lesson you will be familiar with the last 3 letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
You will know and practice using 2 additional question words.

Lesson 7

At the end of this lesson you will be using 4 additional verbs in their 4 forms of the present tense.
You will be introduced to 5 additional nouns and use them in short conversations.
You will be using the form of “There is” and “There isn’t”.

Lesson 8

In this lesson we will cover the theme of: what’s in my room?
At the end of this lesson you will be able to describe a room in your house using the new vocabulary and 4 adjectives.

Lesson 9

The theme of this lesson is: Family Tree. By the end of this lesson you will be able to write and read about your family.

Lesson 10

At the end of this lesson you will be using 5 more verbs in their 4 forms of the present tense.
You will also learn the infinitive form of several verbs in Hebrew and their proper place in the sentence.

Lesson 11

The theme of this lesson is: calendar. At the end of this lesson you will be able to read and speak about your daily/weekly/monthly activities by using time expressions.

Lesson 12

In today’s lesson you will learn the two forms of numbers and use them in mathematic equations and in understanding a paragraph.

Course information:

  • Duration: 3 months
  • Number of classes: 12 X once a week
  • Class duration: 45 minutes each
  • Age: 12-adults (special lessons for younger children are also available – please contact us for more details)
